One of our absolute favorite places for dinner in the North Country is barVino.

Disclosure:  one of the classiest bar owners and co-owner of barVino, Anna Bowers, blogs with me on Sauced in New York.

When you come to the Adirondacks, barVino is a MUST on your TO DO list.

Menu: heavily focused on tapas, small plates that can be ordered in groups, and shared with your friends.  Some larger plates are available for those still adjusting to the idea of a “shared plate”.  The changing menu will always leave you pleasantly surprised, and wondering what you will find next time.

Beverages:  incredible wines available by the glass and the bottle, complimented with beers that will please any palate.  If you like the wine you have tasted, you can step next door and purchase a bottle.  BarVino specializes in wines that surpass their price point.  An inexpensive glass of wine gives you a glass of high quality wine.  An expensive glass of wine will leave you craving more.  Walk next door and buy that bottle.  You may not find it when you go home.

BarVino entered the scene 5 years ago, and has changed the vibe in North Warren County.  Turns out that not only the tourists but the locals were looking for a place that was homey but sharp, well-priced but elegant.

Great job, Anna!  The Loft guests need to seek you out!
