How did we get into this??? Posted August 19, 2013

The Loft at the Remington.

How did that all happen?

It usually starts with wine.  Copious amounts.  High quality, but not necessarily high priced.  Followed by dreams and aspirations.

“It has good bones.”

That was Sharon.

We saw the Remington building’s bones, inside and out, and ripped her back just about to the bones.  Then we put her back together.

This has been a team project, taking advantage of our own construction, plumbing and masonry skills, and we have counted on the expertise of many local contractors as well.  There has been work for just about everyone.  And here we are, ready to launch The Loft at the Remington.

We’re pretty pleased with how it turned out.  The space respects its history, with rooms named after former occupants of the premises.  The appointments are top rate, thanks to Sharon’s years of experience in the hospitality industry.  The gourmet kitchen is waiting for your group celebrations.  In the winter, the two-sided fireplace will warm the air.

Stop back and visit us often, and keep us in mind for your group gatherings.
