This is the time when we wait… and wait…
For snow.
The leaves are mostly down, with just a few clinging to their branches, reluctant to move on.
Our mornings in the Adirondacks are growing chillier. No hard frost just yet, but it is not long off. I wear gloves when I walk the dog, and fleece is a good bet.
We cleaned up the yard today, the final drags of the rake, wood racks stacked, summer flowers cleaned out and beds readied for spring.
When do you think we will get our first measurable snow?
I will put my money on November 14. It has to fall and stick and accumulate beyond just a dusting.
